Dhaka, Feb. 14 -- The swearing-in of elected members of parliament will take place by February 16 or at the latest by February 17, according to the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

Speaking to reporters at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Saturday, he said the oath-taking process will be completed quickly and will not extend beyond February 17, bdnews24.com reports.

Shafiqul, however, did not specify who would administer the oaths in the absence of the speaker.
