Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured as a mini-truck and their motorcycle collided head-on at Rasul area in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachari on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Tasib, 17, son of Shamsul Haque of Fatikchhari in Chattogram, reports BSS.

Md Toufiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Matiranga Police Station, said the accident occurred when a mini-truck heading towards Khagrachhari from Chattogram collided with a tourist-carrying motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Motorcyclist Tasib died on the spot. Another rider on the same motorcycle, Tarek, 18, son of Nurul Islam of the same area, was critically injured.
