Dhaka, Oct. 30 -- A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a tractor at Barsha Gopalpur area on the Birganj-Pirganj road in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Mojaharul Islam (47), son of Md Azizur Rahman of Mashkhuria village in Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district.

Moslem Uddin, an officer at the Birganj Fire Station, said Mojaharul was returning home by motorcycle at night when his vehicle collided head-on with a sand-laden tractor in the area. He died on the spot.

Md Abdul Gafur, officer-in-charge of Birganj Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that preparations are underway to take legal action over the incident.
