Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- A woman and her daughter were killed when a pickup truck hit their scooty at Adamdighi upazila of Bogura district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Nazira Akhter Mim, 27, a Quran teacher, and her two-year-old daughter, Nazifa Akhter, reports BSS.

Nazira's husband, Ramzan Ali Tota, an imam of a local mosque, who was also riding the scooty, was seriously injured. He is now undergoing treatment at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

The family members were residents of Chhatni village under Shantahar Union Parishad in the same upazila.
