Dhaka, Aug. 14 -- The government, in the third phase, has given approval to 91 new agencies to take part in the hajj pilgrimage programme next year.

Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) has issued a notification on Wednesday in this regard which said the hajj agencies were initially qualified for hajj programme under condition, a press release of the ministry said.

The notification said administrative action will be taken against the concerned agencies which would not register the hajj pilgrims of 2026 without any valid reason, reports BSS.

Hajj agencies should have written agreement with the hajj pilgrims on the services to be provided to the hajis in Mecca and Medina.
