Dhaka, Jan. 29 -- Mr. Mohammed Younus has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC during its 404th Board meeting held on Wednesday.

In the same meeting, Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed was re-elected and Mr. Fakir Akhtaruzzaman was elected as Vice-Chairmen, respectively, of the Board of Directors of the bank, according to a press release.

The newly-elected Chairman Mr. Mohammed Younus was born in a respectable Muslim family in Munshiganj District in 1958.
