Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- The government has decided to sell milk, egg and dressed broiler at low prices during the fasting month of Ramadan to people on low incomes in Dhaka city.
The month-long mobile sales drive will be started from the first day of Ramadan, according to a document obtained from the fisheries and livestock ministry.
Milk will be sold at Tk 80 per litre, egg at Tk 9.50 apiece and dressed broiler at Tk 250 per kg. But no beef and mutton will be up for sale.
Ahead of Ramadan, the ministry will sell meat, milk and egg from mobile shops to low-income groups, as decided at a meeting held on January 12.
The sales drive will be conducted at different points of the capital. However, sales points will be fixed before the drive.
