Dhaka, Nov. 6 -- Midland Bank Family provided financial assistance of Tk 15 lac to the family of late Abul Kalam, who passed away in the recent metro rail tragedy in Farmgate area, Dhaka, on October 27, 2025.

The bank provided Tk 5 lac financial assistance from its Islami Banking Fund under its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activity, as part of the bank's commitment towards social wellbeing, according to a media release.

The remaining Tk 10 lac was contributed by Midland Bank Family Members.

Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, handed over documents to Mrs. Irin Akter Priya, wife of Late Abul Kalam, at a simple ceremony held on November 6, 2025, at the bank's Head Office in Dhaka.
