Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- The city's metro rail service faced disruptions again on Saturday afternoon due to a technical issue near Uttara, forcing authorities to operate trains partially between Motijheel and Pallabi for over five hours.
The metro service from Motijheel to Uttara was fully restored at 6:51pm after resolving the technical issue.
Sources said train operations were halted around 1:33 pm following a problem with the signalling system near Uttara South station.
Unable to resolve the issue immediately, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited managed to resume partial operations from Motijheel to Pallabi starting at 2:05pm, utilising the five available train sets.
