Dhaka, June 14 -- Armed men wearing uniforms resembling those of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have made off with over Tk 10.8 million from a distributor of mobile financial service Nagad in Dhaka's Uttara, police say.

The incident took place at 8:52am on Saturday on Road 12 of Sector 13 in Uttara, according to Deputy Commissioner Mahidul Islam of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Uttara Division, reports bdnews24.com.

The robbers arrived in a black microbus and intercepted two of the distributor's employees, who were transporting cash by motorcycle from their employer's residence to an office, he said.

"They [the victims] told us the robbers took Tk 10.8 million. We are looking into the matter."
