Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- Md. Siddiqur Rahman, the Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer of the bank, has taken charge as Acting Managing Director of Standard Bank PLC, according to a press release.

Mr. Rahman joined the Shari'ah-based Standard Bank as DMD in August 2023and has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Bank's Shari'ah-based framework, operational efficiency and risk management practices. Prior to Standard Bank, he served as Deputy Managing Director, CRO & CAMLCO of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.He has made a significant contribution to the bank's business growth and overall development during his 31 years long career in Islami Bank Bangladesh.
