Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- A 35-year-old man has died from injuries suffered during a "mob beating" after being accused of stealing construction materials in Postogola of Dhaka's Shyampur.
The victim, identified as Abdur Rahim, passed away while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday morning, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Shyampur Zone Assistant Commissioner Sarafat Ullah.
The incident occurred around 10:30 pm on Sunday when Rahim was caught allegedly stealing rods from a project under the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), reports bdnews24.com.
