Dhaka, March 3 -- A man was killed and another injured in a road accident at Sankhali area in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur district on Monday.

The deceased was Abdul Matin, 32, a resident of Sreepur upazila in Magura district, reports BSS.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a motorcycle hit a standing lorry around 8:00 am, leaving its rider Matin dead on the spot and injuring its pillion, said Md. Salauddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Karimpur Highway Police Station.

The injured was sent to Dhaka in critical condition.
