Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- Law-enforcing agencies have arrested 1,308 people across Bangladesh as part of ongoing operations, including the government-led "Operation Devil Hunt".

However, as of Sunday evening, police headquarters had no information on how many of these arrests were directly linked to the operation, reports bdnews24.com.

"From last night until this afternoon, a total of 1,308 people have been arrested across the country," Additional Inspector General Enamul Haque Sagar, a spokesman for the Police Headquarters, said in the evening.

When asked about the number of arrests specifically under "Operation Devil Hunt", he said police had no immediate data.
