Dhaka, Feb. 21 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjad Ali said on Thursday that the overall law and order situation in the capital is better now (than before), except a few small and isolated incidents.

"You couldn't say anything about big incidents. only a few small incidents happened (in the capital). I would say that mainly some incidents of mobile mugging took place, but no other crimes. There is no problem centering law and order. Everything is normal," he asserted.

About the incident at Uttara, where a couple was chopped by miscreants, he replied, "We (police) have handled it successfully, and arrested all five miscreants".
