Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital's CCU in Dhaka for the past 12 days, is set to be taken to London for advanced medical care.

According to local media reports, an air ambulance sent by Qatar is scheduled to depart for London on Friday, carrying the former prime minister. A 14-member team, including her personal physician, will accompany her during the transfer.

Earlier, the Qatar Embassy in Dhaka confirmed that the Amir of Qatar had arranged a Qatar air ambulance, which has been kept ready for Khaleda Zia's medical evacuation. The aircraft will depart as soon as her medical team grants approval, the embassy said.
