Dhaka, Nov. 14 -- Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani, a retired judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, died on Monday at the age of 85.

He breathed his last at a hospital in Dhaka at 12:45 pm, said SC spokesperson and Registrar of the Appellate Division Mohammad Saifur Rahman.

Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani left behind his wife, a son and a host of admirers to mourn his death.

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique expressed deep shock at Rabbani's death and prayed for eternal peace for his departed soul and expressed sympathy for his bereaved family.
