Dhaka, May 1 -- After three decades of waiting, the schedule for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students Union (JUCSU) polls have been scheduled, with voting day set for July 31.
The date was announced by the university's Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Kamrul Ahsan in the council room of the university's administrative building at around 12:15 am on Thursday, bdnews24.com reports.
Immediately after the date was announced, JUCSU's Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Prof M Maniruzzaman of the Department of English announced the schedule for the elections.
The vice-chancellor said that, according to Article 8 of the JACSU Constitution, the JUCSU and Hall Parliament elections will be held together on July 31 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
