Dhaka, July 6 -- A Jubo Dal activist was gunned down by unidentified miscreants in Raozan upazila of Chattogram district on Sunday.

The deceased Md Selim, 42, was a resident of Kadalpur union of the upazila and an activist of the ward No-7 unit of the Juba Dal, reports UNB.

He was also the follower of BNP Vice Chairman and former MP Gias Uddin Quader Chowdhury.

According to police and locals, Selim was returning home on a motorcycle with his wife and child around 12 pm when a group of masked miscreants, dressed in black burqas, intercepted them near Ishan Pather Haat by blocking the road with a CNG-run autorickshaw.

The attackers fired at Selim from the front before fleeing the scene.
