Dhaka, May 31 -- The joint forces led by the Bangladesh Army have arrested a total of 390 people for their suspected involvement in various crimes during a week-long drive in different areas of the country from May 22 to May 28.

The arrestees include murder accused, listed terrorists, smugglers, members of juvenile gangs, snatchers, extortionists, and drug peddlers, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The ISPR said that during the drive, the joint forces also recovered 21 illegal firearms, 99 rounds of ammunition, 16 crude bombs, various illicit drugs, locally-made weapons, motorbikes, stolen mobile phone sets, walkie-talkies, passports, counterfeit currency notes, and cash, the...
