Dhaka, May 16 -- Problems at Jagannath University (JnU) could be resolved through the cooperation of all parties, Planning Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud has said.

He made the remarks while speaking to a Bangla-language daily on Friday.

Students and faculty members of JnU have been demonstrating at the Kakrail intersection in Dhaka for three consecutive days, pressing a three-point demand.

Protesters say the university has faced years of neglect since its upgrade from a college, with essential facilities still lacking.

Some of the demands fall under the jurisdiction of the planning ministry, as they require approval from the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec), Prothom Alo reports.
