Dhaka, May 18 -- Commerce Adviser SK Bashir Uddin said Bangladesh has not yet received any official notice from India on its reported import restrictions on approximately seven categories of goods, including processed food items and garments, via land ports.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Sunday, he stated that necessary actions will be taken if the restriction is formally confirmed.
"We haven't officially been informed of India's actions yet. However, based on information from social media and news reports, it appears that India has made certain decisions regarding land ports, particularly in border areas like Akhaura and Dawki," he said.
