Dhaka, June 29 -- The operations of Bhomra Land Port here currently stopped due to a shutdown of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and a "March to NBR" programme, effectively suspending import-export activities between India and Bangladesh.

This closure was part of the shutdown, which began on Saturday, impacting all customs and tax-related activities at the port and other customs houses nationwide, reports BSS.

On the second day of the programme, the main gate of the Bhomra Land Port Customs House was closed since morning. Even there were no customs officials and employees present at the customs house.
