Dhaka, Dec. 17 -- Mr. Md Fayaz Alam, Deputy Managing Director of Janata Bank PLC., has been elected as the new Chairman of IIDFC PLC.

The Board of Directors elected him during the company's 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on Wednesday, December 10, at IIDFC's Head Office, according to a media release.

Mr. Md Fayaz Alam is a Director of IIDFC and a distinguished senior banker of the country. With an accomplished career spanning more than two decades, he has made significant contributions to the banking industry. His professional journey began in 1998 as a Senior Officer at Rupali Bank PLC. In April 2024, he joined Janata Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director.
