Dhaka, Jan. 25 -- CHATTOGRAM, Jan 24: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has directed all police personnel to wear body cameras while on duty to uphold transparency, accountability, and impartiality during the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections.

Addressing a pre-election briefing at the Civic Centre of Chattogram District Police Lines on Saturday, IGP Baharul Alam said, "All personnel must use body-worn cameras while performing their duties, a measure that will play a crucial role in enhancing transparency and accountability."

He emphasised that technology-driven policing is key to building public trust, particularly during sensitive periods like elections.
