Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Chief Prosecutor Muhmmad Tajul Islam, at a press briefing on Thursday, stated that trial proceedings of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in Dhaka would continue at the same pace as before.

He noted that although the government had not made any formal announcement, the ICT had been informed that its legal process would continue at own pace. The law minister had indicated that the ICT's activities would proceed as usual.

Based on these assurances, Tajul Islam expressed hope that the trial proceedings would move forward without any interruption. While no specific directive had been issued, he emphasised that the government had conveyed a clear intention to continue its proceedings.
