Dhaka, June 1 -- Rain is likely to persist over the next few days in different parts of the country with the sustained influence of the monsoon winds, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said.
In a bulletin issued on Sunday, the Met Office forecasted "heavy to very heavy" rainfall in certain regions, bdnews24.com reports.
Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque indicated that monsoon winds from the southwest are actively affecting all of Bangladesh, particularly strong in the east, moderately active in the northern Bay of Bengal, and fairly active elsewhere throughout the country.
