Dhaka, April 28 -- The High Court (HC) ordered concerned authorities to demarcate the Mogra river in Netrokona according to its main flow, prepare a list of encroachers and polluters of the river, and take action to evict them.
A High Court division bench of Justice Md Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Justice Debasish Roy Chowdhury passed the order on Sunday and issued a rule in this connection, BSS reports.
The order followed a hearing on a writ petition filed by the Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (BELA), with Advocate S Hasanul Banna representing the petitioner.
