Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- A recent video of a motorcycle hijacking at gunpoint in broad daylight in the capital's Hatirjheel area by four youths that went viral on social media was actually a shooting scene.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a statement confirmed the matter today (Friday), BSS reports.

The scene was captured around 11:00 am on Wednesday as part of an awareness video filmed by some content creators to aware drivers in the capital about hijacking, and the pistol used in the video is also a toy pistol, the statement said.

After the video was posted on Facebook, aimed at creating awareness among the people about hijacking, some people later spread the fragmented part of the video on social media as a robbery incident, it added. ...
