Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- The motorcycle used in the shooting of Inqilab Mancha Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi had been sold, its owner Abdul Hannan told the court that placed him on three-day remand in police custody.

"I had bought the motorcycle from Mazar Road. But it came with technical glitches and remained abandoned at home. So I sold it to a showroom," Hannan told the court on Sunday evening.

He said the ownership transfer was delayed because of his illness, bdnews24.com reports.

The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Didarul Alam granted police permission to grill Hannan for three days in custody.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Shamsuddoha Sumon said the court granted the remand after police requested seven days of remand.
