Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- Doctors said on Saturday the condition of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi remained critical due to the severe brain injury he suffered in the shooting by assailants in the city on Friday.

Director (media services) at Evercare Hospital Bangladesh Dr Arif Mahmud said that the condition of Hadi remained critical due to the severe brain injury.

He said that Hadi's prognosis couldn't be determined until 72 hours passed.

"His brain injury is very bad; nothing can be said until 72 hours pass. His heart is working... but the brain is very bad. Nothing can be said in one word right now," he said, adding that the waiting period could be indefinite.
