Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has taken Salman F Rahman, former advisor to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, into its custody for four days to interrogate him in a corruption case.
Muhammad Zainal Abedin, Deputy Director of the ACC, received him from Keraniganj Central Jail in Dhaka on Sunday, according to a press release issued by the anti-graft body.
On January 20, the ACC official - who is also an investigator in the corruption case, submitted a petition with the Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's Court in Dhaka to get custody of Salman for five days to interrogate him in the case.
Following his petition the Judge, Md Sabbir Faiz, on January 26 granted four days' custody of Salman to the ACC official.
