Dhaka, May 27 -- The government on Tuesday approved separate proposals for procuring some 1 cargo LNG, 70,000 MTs of fertilizer and 4.5 million liters of refined rice bran oil to meet the growing demand of the country.
The approvals came from the 21st meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase held at Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair, reports BSS.
Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market from M/S POSCO International Corporation, South Korea with around Tk 6.08 billion through following international quotation collection method.
