Dhaka, June 25 -- The government today approved separate proposals for procuring some 1 cargo LNG and 1,05,000 tonnes (Ts) of fertiliser to meet the growing demand of the country.

The approvals came from the 24th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) held at Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair, according to a BSS reports.

Following a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the Petrobangla would procure one cargo LNG from the spot market from Vitol Asia Pte Ltd, Singapore at a cost of around Tk 5.69 billion by following international quotation collection method.
