Dhaka, June 9 -- The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued precautionary measures in response to a surge in cases of new sub-variants of COVID-19 in several neighbouring countries, including India.
These instructions were issued on Monday in a notice signed by Dr Halimur Rashid, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) of the DGHS, reports bdnews24.com
The notice said that cases of new coronavirus sub-variants, particularly Omicron LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB.1.8.1, are on the rise in various neighbouring countries.
