Dhaka, Nov. 13 -- The government on Thursday night appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 23 districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued two separate gazette notifications-one covering 9 districts and the other 14, reports UNB.
The districts include Chattogram, Lakshmipur, Munshiganj, Netrokona, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Khagrachhari, Comilla, Narayanganj, Pabna, Dhaka, Rangpur, Jessore, Meherpur, Noakhali, Gazipur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Madaripur, Moulvibazar, Barishal, Barguna, and Rangamati.
Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election, the government has reshuffled DC positions in three phases over the past week, covering 50 districts.
