Dhaka, March 26 -- Search engine giant Google is marking Bangladesh's 55th Independence and National Day with a special doodle on its homepage.

Since midnight today, visitors to Google's site have been welcomed by an illustration of the Bangladeshi flag waving against a bright blue sky.

The doodle is visible on both google.com and its country-specific versions.

Clicking the doodle redirects users to a page filled with historical facts, news, and videos about Bangladesh's independence.

Google frequently honours significant occasions by replacing its standard logo with unique doodles, recognising national holidays, historical events, achievements, and influential figures worldwide.
