Dhaka, July 10 -- Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus directed the home ministry on Wednesday to be fully prepared by December to conduct the 13th parliamentary election.

He gave these directives during a meeting on the preparations of law enforcement agencies for the upcoming parliamentary polls held at the State Guest House Jamuna in the city.

Later, the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam briefed reporters at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.

Shafiqul Alam said the parliamentary elections could be held before the start of Ramadan next February if all necessary preparations and state reforms are completed in time, according to a news by news agency.
