Dhaka, July 2 -- Mongla Port saw the simultaneous docking of four foreign commercial ships last night, the first day of the 2025-26 fiscal year, carrying huge imported goods.

Md Makruzzaman, deputy director of Public Relations of Mongla Port Authority (MPA), confirmed the arrivals.

The Singapore-flagged Kota Restu ship docked at Jetty No. 5 with 299 TEUs containers, tonnes of machinery, while the Panama-flagged MT Hi-Young anchored at Jetty No. 6, carrying molasses, reports BSS.

Besides, the Sierra Leone-flagged MV History Edward docked at Jetty No.7 with machinery of Ruppur Power Plant, and the Panama-flagged MV D S Property docked at Jetty No. 9 with machinery of Power Grid Company.
