Dhaka, May 1 -- Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mudabbir Hossain Chowdhury passed away due to old-age complications at his residence in the city at early morning on Thursday.
He was 78.
He left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His namaz-e-janaza was held today at the SI Shiru Mia Auditorium at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the city, reports BSS.
IGP Baharul Alam, senior police officers and members and relatives of Mudabbir Hossain participated in the namaz.
After the namaz-e-janaza, the IGP paid tribute to Mudabbir Hossain by placing flowers on the coffin.
