Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- Foreign companies see potential in Bangladesh's insurance sector, said BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.

At present, the service sector, which includes insurance companies too, is playing an important role globally. Many international organizations have shown interest in Bangladesh's insurance sector, said Mr Chowdhury, also a former minister of commerce, at Annual Business Conference of People Insurance Company limited, held at the University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) in the capital on Saturday.
