Dhaka, March 11 -- A teenage boy has allegedly raped a 5-year-old child in Jamalpur's Madarganj.

The incident occurred in the Char Partabaz area of Madarganj Upazila on Monday evening, Hasan Al Mamun, chief of Madarganj Model Police Station, told the media.

The victim's mother filed a case over the incident.

The alleged suspect is a 15-year-old, a seventh grader at a local school. He went into hiding following the incident, bdnews24.com reports.

The teenage boy allegedly lured the 5-year-old with his mobile phone and took her to his room, the OC said, citing the case documents.

The suspect then played music on his mobile at a high volume and proceeded with the act. The child later told her mother about the incident.
