Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- A five-storey building tilted in Mymensingh city during piling work for a nearby 20-storey building, triggering panic among the building's owner and tenants. For safety reasons, they vacated the building overnight.

The incident occurred on Saturday night in the Gulkibari area of the city.

At around 9:30 pm, a visit to the site found that construction of a 20-storey building was underway in the Kajibari area under the initiative of Greenland Developer Private Limited, reports BSS.

During the piling work, the adjacent five-storey building began to tilt. Cracks appeared on the front and side walls of the building, and soil erosion created gaps around it.
