Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Police have arrested five active members of a juvenile crime gang in the capital's Adabar area on Saturday. The arrestees are Shariful, Sri Sagar, Md Saiful, Md Rezaul and Ridhoy.

A police team of the Adabar Police Station nabbed them during a drive conducted in the Nobodoya Housing and Sunibir Housing areas.

Several cases were pending against the arrestees on charges of mugging and extortion. Legal action was taken against them.

Police have also arrested an absconding accused person in seven cases in the capital's Motijheel area. The arrestee was identified as Shuvo (30).
