Dhaka, May 5 -- Two security guards, who sustained burn injuries in a textile mill fire in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj last week, died at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Hannan, 50, son of Md Shafik of Laxmipur district and Kabir Hossain, 45, son of Rafique of Narayanganj district, UNB reports.

Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, the resident surgeon of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said both Hannan and Kabir succumbed to their injuries at the hospital in the morning.

Kabir suffered 53 per cent burn injuries and died at the hospital around 9:30 am at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, said Dr Shawon.
