Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- Expatriates affected by the July movement staged a protest near the capital's Intercontinental Hotel on Monday morning.

Police set up a barricade in front of the Intercontinental Hotel, preventing them from proceeding.

As a result, traffic congestion built up in Shahbagh and Banglamotor area, with police on one side and the protesters on the other, as per a local media report.

The demonstrators stated that they wanted to meet with the Chief Advisor or a government representative.

They further said that they would continue their movement until their demands were met.
