Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- The Pakistan government on Tuesday allowed Imran Khan's sister to meet him in prison after a large number of party supporters gathered outside Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail following speculation over his health and well-being.

An unannounced ban was placed on meeting the 73-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician, who has been in prison since August 2023 in multiple cases, since more than a month, reports The New Indian Express.

Constantly denying his family members from meeting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder led to speculations on social media about whether he is alive or dead.

Adiala Jail authorities however claimed that he is in "good health."
