Dhaka, June 26 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday placed former Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal on a three-day remand in a case filed over alleged irregularities and biased role in conducting the 12th national election.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafa Zaman passed the order when sub-inspector of Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station, also the investigating officer of the case, Shamsudouha produced him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer, UNB reports.
A team of DB police arrested Habibul Awal from Moghbazar area on Wednesday.
