Dhaka, April 27 -- Operation at the city's lone metro rail, MRT Line-6, remained suspended for nearly two hours on Saturday evening, leaving passengers at different stations in difficulties to reach their destination.
A FE reporter, who was at the Shahbagh station of the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) after 5 pm, saw the train stopping suddenly, with the power going out.
After waiting for several minutes, the authorities announced an electricity issue.
Officials said the electric circuit within Shawrapara to Shahbagh area failed, which caused the train operations to be completely halted automatically.
