Dhaka, Feb. 14 -- Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has said If political parties reach a consensus on the reform proposals, elections will be held "as soon as possible" after their implementation and "could happen" in December of this year.

He said this in response to a question from CNN journalist Becky Anderson, the moderator of the interactive plenary session at the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Thursday, bdnews24.com reports.
